Parsons Annual Duke Mason "A Main Street Christmas Concert" Raises $4,000 for Shop with a Cop

The Parsons Police Department is proud to announce the tremendous success of the annual Duke Mason "A Main Street Christmas Concert," which brought in nearly 800 attendees and raised over $4,000 for the 2025 Parsons Shop with a Cop program.
With strong community support and notable contributions from local partners, this year's fundraising total has surpassed $16,965.16, ensuring that dozens of children in Parsons will enjoy a memorable holiday shopping experience with local law enforcement officers.
Major donations helping reach this important milestone include:
· Walmart - $5,000
· Parsons St. Vincent de Paul - $1,500
· Postal Carriers Association - $1,500
The Parsons Police Department also extends appreciation to the Duke Mason Band, whose performance and partnership continue to elevate the annual concert and significantly bolster the Shop with a Cop fund.
This year's Shop with a Cop event will be held on Sunday, December 14th, 2025. Officers are always eager to dedicate their time accompanying local youth as they shop for gifts for themselves and their families, creating positive interactions that last well beyond the holiday season.
The annual event is not only about gift-giving, but also about connection, compassion, and the joy of helping others. Each year, officers express their appreciation for the opportunity to brighten a child's holiday and build relationships that strengthen trust between the police department and the community.
Chief Robert Spinks shared his gratitude for the overwhelming generosity shown this year stating, "Parsons continues to show that when we come together, we create real and lasting impact. The support we've received ensures that many young people in our community will experience holiday joy and positive engagement with our officers."
Lieutenant Kyle Wiford added, "Shop with a Cop is one of the most rewarding events of the year. Seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter, and feeling the holiday spirit with these kids is something our officers truly cherish. This community continues to amaze us with its kindness and support."
Shop with a Cop fundraising continues year-round through the Parsons Police Legacy Fund, held at the Parsons Area Community Foundation. These contributions help ensure the long-term sustainability and continued growth of the program.
