The Parsons Police Legacy Fund is proud to continue its investment in area youth with a $500 donation to the Labette County High School Booster Club. The contribution will help support student-athletes and activities at Labette County High School while furthering the Legacy Fund's mission of investing in the future of the communities served by the Parsons Police Department.
The Parsons Police Legacy Fund extends its appreciation to Jessica Rush, President of the Labette County High School Booster Club, for her leadership and commitment to supporting LCHS students. The Booster Club plays an important role in providing additional opportunities and resources for students and athletic programs throughout the school year.
Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks, President of the Parsons Police Legacy Fund, said the donation reflects the larger purpose behind the organization. "The mission of the Legacy Fund is about more than making a donation. It is about making an investment in people and in the future of our community," Spinks said. "When we have the opportunity to support our schools, our students, and the organizations that work hard to give young people opportunities to succeed, we are helping build a stronger community. That is exactly the kind of legacy this fund was created to leave behind."
Parsons Police Lieutenant Jason Ludwig, Vice President of the Legacy Fund, said supporting Labette County High School is especially meaningful because the Parsons Police Department includes employees who are graduates of both Parsons High School and Labette County High School. "We have alumni from both Parsons High School and Labette County High School working within the Parsons Police Department today," Ludwig said. "These students are the future of our communities. Some of them may one day become police officers, dispatchers, teachers, business owners, public servants, or leaders right here in Southeast Kansas. Continuing to invest in our children and giving them opportunities to succeed is one of the best things the Legacy Fund can do. We aren't just supporting them today; we are investing in the people who will lead and serve our communities tomorrow."
The Parsons Police Legacy Fund was established with a long-term vision of building a legacy worth leaving behind. Through charitable events, sponsorships, donations, and partnerships, the organization works to raise funds that can be reinvested into youth, education, athletics, community programs, and other opportunities that strengthen Parsons and the surrounding area.
The $500 contribution to the Labette County High School Booster Club is part of the Legacy Fund's continued effort to support organizations that directly benefit young people. The Fund remains committed to expanding those efforts as additional money is raised through community partnerships and fundraising events.
The Parsons Police Legacy Fund also recognizes that its work would not be possible without the businesses, organizations, sponsors, and individual community members who continue to support its mission. Every donation, sponsorship, and fundraising contribution provides another opportunity for the Legacy Fund to give back. The goal is simple: raise funds locally, invest those funds back into the community, and create opportunities today that can make a difference for generations to come.
