The Parsons Police Department has arrested a suspect connected to two separate incidents of unlawful entry and threats at a residence in the 1200 block of Ward Avenue.

On October 19, 2025, at approximately 4:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Ward Avenue for a report of a burglary in progress. The caller reported that the suspect, identified as Trinity Fields, had entered the residence without permission.

Officers Josh Daniels and Lieutenant Kyle Wiford responded to the scene. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the reporting party outside the residence, who informed them that Fields was inside a back bedroom. Officers entered the residence, announced their presence, and located Fields, who was then taken into custody without further incident.

According to the investigation, Fields had been previously involved in a separate case on the prior evening involving Aggravated Burglary and Criminal Threat after allegedly kicking in a rear door and making threats to occupants. Despite being told not to return to the property, Fields allegedly re-entered the home through a rear window by removing a window-mounted air conditioner earlier in the day.

The resident reported that Fields was not a tenant and had no permission to be inside the home. Officers observed evidence consistent with forced entry, including the displaced air-conditioning unit, which was photographed and documented.

Fields was arrested on new charges of Criminal Trespass, in addition to the pending charges related to the prior burglary investigation. A separate warrant from Kaufman County, Texas was also located; however, that agency declined extradition.

Lieutenant Kyle Wiford, who oversees the patrol division commended the initial reports documentation and the officer's ability to take great case notes, "Our officers acted swiftly and safely to resolve a situation that could have escalated further. Their actions prevented additional harm and ensured that the victim could feel safe in her home again."

Police Chief Robert Spinks highlighted the department's ongoing efforts to protect victims of repeat offenses, "This is another example of our commitment to protecting victims and holding offenders accountable. The Parsons Police Department continues to work closely with our community to stop cycles of violence and help connect those struggling with substance abuse to available resources."

The case has been forwarded to the Labette County Attorney's Office for review of formal charges.

This continues to be an on-going investigation, and citizens are encouraged to "See It, Hear It, Report It." All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. If anyone has any further information on this incident or any other criminal activity, please contact the Parsons Police Department at 421-7060 or call the Tip Line at 421-7057 or email at tips@parsonspdks.gov.
