TRAFFIC ADVISORY - PARSONS

Two road projects on U.S. 59 in Parsons are causing extra caution while driving.

One project will reconstruct a segment of North 16th Street in Parsons near Walmart. The other will reconstruct a segment of South 16th Street in Parsons near the Little Labette Creek bridge.

Both projects will allow for a smoother road surface. The road will remain open during construction but be reduced to a single lane in each direction, using the shoulder.

KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones.

Use extra caution at the intersection of Hwy 59 (South 16th) and Southern. Sight distances are limited by signage and cones. Drive safe to avoid a crash!
