**********STORM SIREN TESTING**************

Starting March 10th at 12 Noon, the Parsons Police Department will begin its weekly testing of the City Storm Sirens. This weekly test is to ensure that equipment is functioning properly in case of a weather-related emergency. Testing will be each Monday at 12 Noon, weather permitting. We will not test if there is inclement weather or pending storms.

As a general reminder about storm sirens as storm season approaches, the storm sirens are intended to alert citizens that are outside to take cover. They are not intended to penetrate buildings and are likely not going to be heard from inside of a house or other buildings.

If there is an emergency and the sirens are activated, take immediate cover and tune into KLKC for instructions from local emergency management.
